Wound Care & Companionship

Practical Support with Care and Companionship

Some individuals require additional support while recovering from an injury, procedure, or health-related condition.

Wound Care & Companionship

Oasis Health Assisted Living provides support based on individual care needs, along with companionship that helps residents feel connected and supported throughout their day.

Wound Care Support

Wound care needs can vary depending on the individual and the type of wound. Where wound care is part of an individual’s care plan, our team can provide appropriate support within the scope of the services arranged for the resident.

We work with residents, families, and healthcare professionals when additional guidance or coordination is required.

Supporting Families

Having someone available to provide companionship and everyday support can also provide families with additional peace of mind and help reduce some of the responsibilities of caregiving.

Care with Respect and Dignity

Our approach is always centered around the individual’s comfort, privacy, preferences, and dignity. We take the time to understand what matters to each person and provide support accordingly.

Contact Oasis Health Assisted Living to discuss your care and companionship needs.

Companionship

Companionship is an important part of quality care. Our companion care focuses on providing social, emotional, and practical support while helping individuals remain engaged with everyday life.

Companionship may include:

  • Conversation and social interaction
  • Accompanying residents during activities
  • Reading or watching television together
  • Support with hobbies and interests
  • Encouraging social engagement
  • Providing emotional support
  • Helping reduce feelings of isolation

The Oasis Health brochure specifically describes companion care as including socialization, spiritual and emotional support, as well as helping provide relief for family caregivers.
